Wire Scalpel is brave new medical device which allows us a revolutionary method of subcutaneous dissection without external incisions , so leaving no scars on the skin.
Its consists of a firm and elastic wire,made in stainless steel and resistant to twisting, attached to a long needle.

OPERATIVE TECHNIQUE
The intervention is preceded by an antiseptic skin treatment and performed under infiltration anaesthesia wth a 1% lidocaine supplemented by a 2,3% adrenaline
The needle is inserted subcutaneously by apuncture in the skin to a desired depth of the cellulocutaneous layer to be moved along the perimeter of the area to be dissected (l,e a depressed scar or a fold or wrinkle)
The area previously marked on the skin has a triangle shape.

TECHNICAL PROCEDURE MORE IN DETAIL
The needle is inserted subcutaneously in the 1st pin-hole in the skin and comes out from the 2nd one previously marked along the perimeter of this triangle. Then it is inserted again in the same pin-hole, the 2nd one, and comes-out from the 3rd one angle of this triangle. Finally, the needle is inserted again in the same pin-hole, the 3rd one, and comes out from the 1st one. So doing, the entire area, previously marked on the skin, is covered. Now we have the two ends of the wire which come out both from the same pin hole (the 1st one) Holding its two ends, the wire is pulled to and fro by cautious sliding movements in order to dissect the tissue, thus producing a cutaneous flap separated from the underlying tissues. This way the adhesion is dissected without leaving any scar on the skin.
Once haemostasis is reached, it is possible to insert into the cellulocutaneous flap BioAlcamid ar BioinBlue filler in order to avoid the birth of new adhesions.
